Daniel Evan Oller was born in 2008 to his parents, Josh and Heather Oller. He was the first grandchild on both sides of the family. He faces life with enthusiasm, a love of learning, and a natural leadership ability. At age 5, he found his passion for sports when his Mom and Dad took him to his first Portland Timber’s soccer game. He has been playing soccer ever since and has aspirations of playing professionally one day! Daniel’s favorite activities include soccer, fishing, reading, video games and generally being outside and active. Daniel is always up for new adventures and new experiences. He loves learning all kinds of new information and shares it with all those around him! He is generally a very positive young man with a fantastic sense of humor. He is a natural leader with everyone from his family and neighborhood, to his sports teams and beyond. He gets just as excited for the successes of his friends and teammates as he does for his own.

Daniel also has a great love for his Jewish heritage and Israel. While he doesn’t remember it, he spent some time in Israel with his parents when he was six months old. He even cut his first tooth there! He very much wants to return and visit again, now that he is old enough to remember such a fantastic trip. We had hoped to make that trip happen for this Bar Mitzvah, but we are optimistic that we’ll be able to do this one day in the near future.

We celebrate you today, Daniel!

Daniel, what can we say so proud of you. You have brought so much love to all the lives you touch. We also find it hard to believe 13 years has gone so quickly. Your grandpa Earl is certainly celebrating today. We also need to give credit to your fabulous parents. Love you❤️

Chanting Torah is a blessing, as you are a blessing to your family and to our people. Mazel Tov on beautifully chanting our ancient language which contains all the many ways to live in this world. Success is the journey (of your study for this bar mitzvah) not the destination. Celebrate this milestone in your life...
